Dive Highlights R1844 Oregon Offshore

During ROPOS Dive R1844, the Endurance Offshore 600 m site was investigated to determine the impact of a possible fish trawl in the area. The LV01C junction box was tipped on its side, and the digital still camera was face down in the sediment. No other obvious impacts were observed. The LV01C junction box was left on its side because it is still working. The camera lenses, lights, and lasers were cleaned after positioning the camera in an upright position. Later testing by the UW Ops Center showed the camera was still working. Credit: NSF-OOI/UW/ISS; V15.
