Creating A Shared Consciousness About the Oceans – New Ways to Interact with the Oceans. This video was produced by College of the Environment, School of Oceanography undergraduates Katie Bigham and Jessie Turner as part of the Ocean 411 Sea Going Research and Discovery Class. Katie and Jessie sailed on Leg 1 of the OOI-NSF-UW VISIONS'14 Expedition. Using stunning video, they highlight their vision and hopes about how the cabled component of NSF's Ocean Observatories Initiative will change the way interested users are able to interact with the oceans, and help in the discovery process.
